Dr Nigam Shah

Debra Richman is a Partner at Forward Ventures Group, where she specializes in business development, the creation and execution of growth and go-to-market strategies, and corporate financing. Her expertise spans care delivery, value-based care, and payor and provider risk contracting, including products for government programs (Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, ACA), and employer-based plans.

Debra has deep expertise in scaling revenue, executing growth-oriented strategies, and building accretive partnerships that drive market expansion and revenue, across payors, providers, health systems, and consumer-facing platforms.

Previously, Debra served as Chief Development Officer for The Oncology Institute (NASDAQ: TOI), a national value- based oncology platform serving over 2 million lives.  At The Oncology Institute, she oversaw national business and corporate development including strategy, M&A, payor and provider contracting, and expansion into new markets and products. 

Prior to joining The Oncology Institute, Debra was a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal, as part of the global management consulting firm’s Healthcare Industry Group where she worked with corporate and private equity clients, focused on business transformation, revenue acceleration, and growth strategy.

Throughout her career, Debra has worked across a spectrum of healthcare sectors, ranging from payors and providers to health systems, on best practices for developing and executing revenue growth plans, and driving superior financial performance.

As an advisor, she partners with both early-stage companies and mature market leaders to develop and execute strategy, improve operational performance, and secure investment capital. Debra leverages her deep industry experience and relationships to help drive growth and deliver measurable outcomes. 

Debra currently serves on the Board of Directors of an early stage AI platform company using conversational video to enhance engagement.  

Dr. Nigam Shah is Professor of Medicine at Stanford University, and Chief Data Scientist for Stanford Health Care. His research group analyzes multiple types of health data (EHR, Claims, Wearables, Weblogs, and Patient blogs), to answer clinical questions, generate insights, and build predictive models for the learning health system. At Stanford Healthcare, he leads artificial intelligence and data science efforts for advancing the scientific understanding of disease, improving the practice of clinical medicine and orchestrating the delivery of health care. Dr. Shah is an inventor on eight patents and patent applications, has authored over 200 scientific publications and has co-founded three companies. Dr. Shah was elected into the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI) in 2015 and was inducted into the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI) in 2016. He holds an MBBS from Baroda Medical College, India, a PhD from Penn State University and completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University.

Dr. Dan Frogel is a physician, health entrepreneur, and healthcare executive whose career spans emergency medicine, urgent care, and behavioral health. As a co-founder of CityMD, Dan helped redefine urgent care in the Northeast, scaling a patient-first model rooted in clinical quality and accessibility. He now serves as CEO of Thriveworks, one of the nation’s largest behavioral health companies, where he is reshaping how mental health care is delivered, integrated, and scaled. Dan’s leadership spans the full continuum of care—from the ER to integrated virtual therapy—and is driven by a relentless focus on clinical integrity, operational innovation, and closing the gaps between mental and physical health.
