DaVita Health Solutions

Hank Schlissberg is the president of DaVita Health Solutions. Founded in 2016, DaVita Health Solutions’ purpose is to improve the quality-of-life for what they call our nation’s Most Vulnerable Patients (MVPs) – the highest risk patients who have multiple complex chronic conditions and high utilization of the health care system. With full clinical and financial accountability for a defined set of patients, DaVita Health Solutions goes far beyond DaVita’s traditional kidney care focus to reinvent the care model, at scale across a market, for the highest risk chronic patients through house calls, post-acute care, behavioral health, palliative care and other social services.

DaVita Health Solutions has had extraordinary impact: 91% patient satisfaction rating; 37% fewer hospitalizations; 17% cost reduction; 46% skilled nursing facility length-of-stay reduction; and 64% lower SNF-to-acute 30-day readmissions.

Prior to joining DaVita in July 2014, Hank was a Partner at McKinsey & Company where he joined the Cleveland office in 2000 and remained into 2011. He then spent two and a half years as Chief Growth Officer of Radisphere, a $40M venture-backed (Oak HC/FT, Maverick Capital) technology and delivery model innovator in the radiology space, before it was sold to Envision Healthcare in 2014. Hank has an MBA from the University of Michigan and played varsity golf at Miami University.

He lives in the Denver area with his wife Carlynn and their three young girls where they love the Colorado outdoor lifestyle and family ski weekends. He still tries to be a competitive golfer and is a passionate Michigan State and Cleveland sports fan.
