Prior to starting Docent, Royal spanned for-profit and non-for-profit roles with a focus on health inclusion and innovation. He was part of the founding team at Oxeon Venture Partners, lead new product innovations at Aetna, and worked internationally to fight HIV/AIDS in developing countries.
