Verily has rolled out Verily Me, a no-cost consumer health application designed to surface care gaps and deliver personalized recommendations informed by an individual’s health data. Within the app, users can connect to licensed clinicians who review medical records aggregated across multiple providers and health systems, with the goal of supporting preventive health management and more informed discussions with existing clinicians. “We offer Verily Me at no cost, and our goal is for it to be adopted broadly by the general public as a tool to have access to and engage in better preventative health management,” said Myoung Cha, Verily’s chief product officer.
The app features Violet, an AI agent that answers questions about a user’s health record such as vaccination dates or visit summaries. Users can also log meals by photo and receive immediate feedback and nutrition tips. Verily Me is available in beta on Apple and Google Play app stores and will be used by members of Lightpath, Verily’s chronic disease and weight management program subsidized by employers, payers, and pharmacy benefit managers; Onduo members will migrate to Lightpath in the coming weeks. Lightpath participants receive support from health coaches and, when clinically indicated, a care team that includes physicians, pharmacists, and registered dietitians, accompanied by a 24/7 AI companion.
With consent, Verily’s affiliated provider group retrieves medical records from multiple health systems and health information exchanges, consolidating medications, conditions, procedures, immunizations, and test results to create a longitudinal health profile. Verily Me can also integrate data via Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect. On average, users may see about nine years of history, though completeness varies by provider participation and data type.
Verily emphasizes privacy and security, stating its platform is designed to meet applicable HIPAA requirements and certified to ISO 27001, 27017, and 27018, with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring. The company notes that user conversations and health data are not indexed, shared publicly, or repurposed outside the regulated healthcare context.
Built on Verily’s precision health platform, Pre, Verily Me also offers consented participation in the Lifelong Health Study, an evolution of Project Baseline that enables real-world evidence generation through ePROs, connected devices, and targeted follow-up. “Existing RWD is often like a low-resolution photograph with entire sections of pixels missing,” said Erich Huang, M.D., Ph.D., Verily’s associate chief clinical officer. “By integrating high-frequency signals and day-to-day context, Verily will help fill in those missing pixels to create a clearer, more actionable picture of individual health.”
