Wearables’ Tony Stark Era

About this Session:

Ok maybe Iron Man is a little big of an exaggeration, who can walk in that suit, right? Wearable pioneers actually are putting Iron Man-like power in smaller, more powerful devices that seamlessly integrate into your daily life (without ruining your outfit.) These advanced wearables are not only tracking health metrics but also empowering users with data-driven insights, fostering accountability and enabling more informed discussions with care providers. The adoption of wearable technology by over a third of U.S. adults has led to compelling evidence linking physical activity measured to reduced chronic disease incidence and increased overall activity levels. Although consumers have jumped on board, the integration of wearable data into traditional healthcare settings has been a bit slower. As the industry evolves, we’ll continue to see more powerful, non-invasive devices emerge that can provide actionable health outcomes, while also addressing concerns about data privacy and the potential for information overload in clinical settings. Smart underwear? Smart pillow? Smart hat? We’re just getting started!
