Aptar Digital Health has partnered with ŌURA to integrate biometric data from the Oura Ring directly into Migraine Buddy, the world’s most widely used migraine tracking app. The collaboration combines subjective symptom logging—such as pain intensity, aura, and nausea—with objective physiological signals including sleep quality, heart rate variability (HRV), and temperature trends. The goal is to help people with migraines move beyond manual “diary” tracking and more easily identify underlying triggers.
By layering continuous wearable data onto user-reported symptoms, the integration aims to close the gap between how patients feel and what their bodies are doing physiologically. Instead of relying on guesswork—such as assuming poor sleep caused an attack—users may be able to see clear correlations between migraine episodes and specific biometric changes, turning patterns into actionable insights. Aptar Digital Health leaders say this approach empowers users with automated, data-driven understanding of their condition.
A major focus of the partnership is women’s health, addressing a long-standing blind spot in migraine care. Migraines disproportionately affect women and are often linked to hormonal fluctuations across the menstrual cycle. By incorporating Oura’s cycle-tracking insights into Migraine Buddy, the platform can help users anticipate hormonally driven migraines rather than simply reacting after symptoms begin. ŌURA leaders said the integration reflects a broader shift toward personalized care grounded in individual physiology, signaling a move for wearables from fitness tools toward clinically meaningful health support.
