Inova Health Taps Notable To Utilize Intelligent AI Agents

Northern Virginia–based Inova Health has selected Notable to deploy its AI-enabled platform across administrative and operational functions, with a focus on revenue cycle management and patient access workflows. The collaboration will apply Notable’s intelligent AI agents to automate and streamline contact center operations, including inbound and outbound communications, referrals, and documentation-heavy processes.


Notable’s platform uses conversational AI–powered voice and SMS assistants to support tasks such as registration, appointment scheduling, nonclinical prior authorizations, and referral management. At Inova, the implementation will specifically target revenue cycle operations, patient access, and closed-loop referral workflows, including handling additional documentation requests and denials. Inova leaders said the initiative is intended to reduce administrative burden and allow staff to devote more time to direct patient care.


The move aligns with Inova’s broader digital strategy, which includes last year’s adoption of Abridge as its systemwide generative AI platform for clinical documentation. Notable has also expanded deployments at other major health systems, including MUSC Health, where it supports scheduling, voice notifications, and revenue cycle functions. In 2025, the company introduced Flow AI, a tool designed to help healthcare organizations build, test, and optimize AI agent workflows more efficiently.
