Klinic Raises $24M Series A for Specialty Provider-Enablement Platform

Klinic, a Texas-based healthcare technology startup, has raised $24 million in a Series A funding round to expand its provider-enablement platform for independent specialty practices. Founded in 2021, the company initially focused on behavioral health but has since broadened its reach to support providers across a range of specialties, including oncology, cardiology and rare diseases. Klinic describes its platform as a healthcare equivalent of Shopify, offering a unified digital infrastructure that helps independent providers manage both clinical and operational aspects of their practices.

The platform combines tools for patient acquisition, intake, electronic health records, customer relationship management, care coordination and revenue cycle support into a single system. By addressing administrative burdens such as prior authorizations and workflow management, Klinic aims to help independent specialists compete more effectively with larger health systems. The company also operates services that connect specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers with providers and patients, creating additional support for access to complex therapies and treatments.

The funding round attracted participation from dozens of investors, reflecting growing interest in healthcare platforms that help providers operate more efficiently while maintaining independence. However, Klinic faces the challenge of scaling across multiple specialties while competing against established EHR vendors and healthcare software companies. The investment nevertheless highlights increasing investor confidence in provider-enablement platforms as a distinct and potentially significant category within healthcare technology.
