Lunit is expanding the implementation of its AI imaging solution to military facilities and troops stationed abroad in South Korea.
This move follows the successful pilot deployment of Lunit INSIGHT CXR, the company's AI-powered software for analysing chest X-rays, last year in medical institutions within the army, navy, and air force, including the Armed Forces Medical Command and the Armed Forces Capital Hospital.
The significance of this expansion lies in improving the accessibility of diagnostic and treatment services in remote areas where military personnel are stationed. Lunit plans to develop a tailored AI solution that will integrate with portable X-ray imaging equipment, thereby significantly enhancing care accessibility.
In addition to military facilities, Lunit INSIGHT CXR has been deployed globally in recent months. The company has established partnerships with the Albert Einstein Israelita Hospital in Brazil and with Radlink in Singapore to augment its chest X-ray analysis capabilities using AI.
Earlier this year, Lunit announced its intention to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Europe to support sales and expand its network.
