What does “Direct-to-Patient” really mean in Europe - and what needs to change for it to work?

About this Meeting

Direct-to-patient (DTP) engagement is emerging across Europe, but remains fragmented and highly dependent on local regulatory and care delivery models.

Co-hosted by HLTH and Ypsomed, this session will explore what DTP realistically looks like today, including obesity care pathways, specialty medicine delivery via pharmacy partners, and emerging hybrid “click-to-care” models (learning from real-world pilots in markets like the UK). The discussion will also explore how AI, data, and connected devices can enhance the patient journey (from onboarding and adherence to injection behaviour tracking) while remaining fully compliant and trust-preserving.

We will examine what these pilots reveal about scaling patient-centric access, how pharma can use them to build deeper relationships beyond the prescription, and how improved patient experience can translate into better outcomes across stakeholders.

Designed for senior Pharma, Health Systems decision-makers and Payers, this session combines a panel discussion with peer-to-peer roundtables to explore what DTP looks like in practice today and what it could realistically become.
