Maven Clinic Launches Direct-to-Consumer Platform Nationwide Featuring GLP-1 and Hormone Care

Maven Clinic has opened the beta waitlist for a new direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform, extending its virtual care model to women across the United States regardless of employer-sponsored coverage. The move marks a strategic expansion for the company, which has historically focused on enterprise partnerships, serving more than 2,300 employers and health plan clients and covering 28 million lives.

The DTC platform is structured around three primary clinical pillars:

  • Virtual Care: Access to more than 30 specialties, including OB-GYNs, mental health providers, lactation consultants, doulas, pediatricians, and physical therapists.

  • Women-Centric GLP-1 Care: Prescribing access to FDA-approved weight-loss medications, with clinical decisions informed by reproductive history such as PCOS, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and fertility considerations, rather than BMI alone.

  • Comprehensive Hormone Care: Personalized support and treatment plans addressing perimenopause and menopause transitions.

The launch responds to a fragmented telehealth environment in which patients often navigate separate platforms for weight management, menopause care, and routine gynecological services. Maven’s model integrates these services within a single platform, enabling longitudinal care where clinical context carries across life stages—from fertility planning to pregnancy, postpartum care, and hormone management.

“Women have more ways to manage their health today than ever before — and less coherence than ever before,” said Kate Ryder, founder and CEO of Maven Clinic. “Today we’re bringing that model directly to women everywhere — trusted providers, integrated care, and a clear point of view on what women need.”

Maven’s entry into the GLP-1 market reflects a differentiated strategy compared to high-volume telehealth prescribing models. Rather than operating as a transactional channel, the company embeds GLP-1 treatment within broader reproductive and metabolic health oversight. Clinicians assess medical history and future family planning considerations, while pairing medication with structured nutrition and strength guidance designed to preserve muscle mass.

The DTC initiative also aligns with Maven’s enterprise strategy. Beginning in 2027, employers and health plans will be able to incorporate these consumer-focused offerings into their benefits structures, creating a feedback loop between the company’s consumer and B2B ecosystems.
