Qualified Health, a public benefit company focused on AI deployment in healthcare, has raised $125 million in a Series B round led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), underscoring growing investor confidence in enterprise-grade generative AI infrastructure for health systems.
The round drew participation from a mix of strategic and financial backers, including Transformation Capital, GreatPoint Ventures, Cathay Innovation, Anthropic and Menlo Ventures’ Anthology fund, alongside existing investors such as SignalFire and Flare Capital Partners. NEA co-CEO Mohamad Makhzoumi will join the company’s board.
Founded just last year, Qualified Health is positioning itself as a foundational layer for health systems seeking to move beyond experimentation with generative AI toward scaled, governed deployment. Its platform provides infrastructure spanning governance frameworks, post-deployment monitoring and role-based access controls—areas increasingly viewed as critical barriers to adoption.
The company also emphasises safety and reliability. Its offering includes a risk alert system and data privacy protections aimed at mitigating hallucinations, alongside tools for building healthcare-specific AI agents to automate administrative workflows.
The funding will support continued platform development and broader rollout of its enterprise offering across provider organisations. This comes as health systems face mounting pressure to balance workforce shortages, financial strain and rising demand—factors that have accelerated interest in AI-driven efficiency.
Qualified Health has already begun embedding its technology within large-scale health environments. Partnerships with the University of Texas System and Jefferson Health highlight early use cases across care delivery, research and operations. Notably, its collaboration with Anthropic brings Claude-powered capabilities into clinical and administrative workflows, including identifying patients who may require targeted interventions.
“This next phase is about deepening those partnerships, scaling responsibly and proving that AI can deliver better patient outcomes, stronger financial sustainability and meaningful relief for the clinicians who carry this system on their backs,” said CEO and co-founder Justin Norden.
“The health systems we serve are not just looking for incremental improvement. They're looking to fundamentally transform how care is delivered, and we're honored to be their partner in that work.”
