Scan.com Raises $220M to Expand U.S. Medical Imaging Network

Scan.com has raised $220 million in combined equity and debt financing to accelerate the expansion of its medical imaging platform across the United States. The financing includes a $90 million equity round led by Noteus Partners, with participation from Aviva, Concord Health Partners, YZR Capital and Oxford Capital, alongside $130 million in debt facilities provided by VerisFi Capital and Atempo Growth. The funding follows a year in which the company doubled its revenue and surpassed a $165 million annualized revenue run rate.

The company is targeting fragmentation and inefficiency within the more than $100 billion U.S. medical imaging market. Despite significant imaging capacity nationwide, Scan.com says approximately 85% of scans are still scheduled through phone calls or fax, contributing to long wait times and administrative complexity. At the same time, imaging prices can vary significantly between nearby facilities while some scanners remain underutilized.

Scan.com's platform connects healthcare organizations and patients with imaging providers through a national technology network. Its API brings provider search, scheduling and results delivery into a single infrastructure layer, eliminating the need for healthcare companies to build individual integrations with imaging centers. The company aims to create a more connected network for diagnostic imaging similar to the infrastructure already established within the laboratory testing market.

AI is used throughout the platform to automate referrals, match patients with imaging facilities based on availability, price and clinical specialization, manage administrative paperwork and route scans to radiologists with appropriate subspecialty expertise. Scan.com combines this automation with human care guides who support patients throughout the process. The company says diagnostic results are typically returned within 48 hours.

The new capital will support further expansion of Scan.com's U.S. provider network as well as investment in its API and agentic AI infrastructure. More than 900,000 patients have already accessed imaging through the company's global network, with the U.S. now accounting for most of its revenue and workforce. By connecting fragmented imaging capacity with automated scheduling and clinical workflows, Scan.com aims to reduce waiting times, improve price transparency and establish itself as a major infrastructure platform for diagnostic imaging.
