U-M Health's chief digital officer sees opportunity in tech 'co-pilots'

Josh Wilda, the regional chief digital information officer at University of Michigan Health based in Lansing, aims to build a robust digital environment, optimising the organisation's existing technologies. In a recent press release, Mr. Wilda emphasised his focus on leveraging new technologies such as AI, automation, and cloud solutions to serve as "co-pilots" for UM Health's caregivers. The goal is to enable healthcare professionals to concentrate on patient care instead of being burdened by time-consuming tasks.


With an eye on scalability, Mr. Wilda is committed to establishing a resilient digital infrastructure within the organisation. He envisions using technology to extend patient treatment beyond traditional hospital settings, emphasising the importance of maximising the current technological resources available to the health system.
