Women & COVID: The Decline of Wellbeing and Implications for Recovery

About this Session:

The COVID-19 pandemic took an unequal toll on many dimensions of women’s wellbeing, especially women of color and those experiencing poverty. But, let’s face it: many of these effects were predictable given the challenges women faced before the pandemic. This panel will review the impacts of the pandemic on gender lines and, in light of a likely domino effect of worsening outcomes for women, discuss the ways healthcare organizations can aim higher to help achieve gender equity in health and wellbeing.
