Federal and State Bureaucracy in Healthcare: Who Holds the Strings?

When changes need to be made in our healthcare system, should we look to our state or federal officials for a lifeline? The politicization of healthcare has grown like a weed throughout local, state and federal institutions. It?s uncertain who is really holding the strings when changes need to be made. On topics like a national telemedicine license, hospital at home, reproductive rights and the expansion of Medicaid- one could argue that the power should lie either with our state governments or at the national level.
