Patients demand access to their preferred communication channels, and it’s up to providers and/or platforms to provide those options. After noticing anecdotal evidence of this in the healthcare industry, we surveyed a statistically significant population sample of 1500 US patients across all age ranges. According to the findings, a staggering 55% of patients are likely to switch providers if their communication preferences can’t be met. We plan to do a deep dive into patient communications preferences, highlighting how preferred channels vary by communication type, and how the trend of rising consumerist expectations is transforming the healthcare industry.
