40 Million Children

Approximately 40 million children are on Medicaid with nearly 10 million of them on The Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP.) With the ongoing unwinding of Medicaid coverage across multiple states, children were kicked off the program at higher rates than adults. Twelve states even exceeded 100% of their total projections for disenrolling children. Pair this trend with the financial crisis within community health centers, where many of these children receive care, and we have a deeply underserved community of children in need. Digital health solutions, emerging tech and payment model innovation can help fill this gap and provide an alternative route to care for families with no other options. Health leaders, investors and tech mavericks are joining to ensure the murky political waters around access to healthcare don’t interfere with the health of our nation’s children.
