Tampons, taboos, & technology: Menstrual health innovator showcase

About this Session:

50% of the world has periods. Every month. For 35+ years. That's a pretty big audience. And yet there remains an awkwardness to discussing it.\r\nAccording to the World Bank, there are 2.5 billion women between the ages of 15 to 64 in the world, and approximately 92% of them have experienced menstrual health symptoms, from acne to cramps, mood swings to fatigue, heavy bleeding to headaches.\r\nIt's not just about ensuring everyone has access to period products and support without feeling like they're smuggling contraband in their handbags. It's elevating the global consciousness around underrepresented conditions, like endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It's breaking down the taboos around women's bodies. It's arming women with the knowledge and support to advocate for awareness. To demand diagnosis. To target treatment.\r\nIt's creating a world without the awkwardness, and championing a future where everyone's cycle is celebrated, not just tolerated. Join us and listen to innovators who create that world for all of us.
