
In 2022, the long-awaited health data superhighway is opening for trusted, secure exchange of electronic health information (EHI), making reliable data-sharing a reality for payers, providers, and patients using the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) and qualified health information networks (QHINs). TEFCA has been finalized. Yet today, there are no QHINs. So, what does this mean to established health information exchanges (HIEs), healthcare payers, providers, patients, life sciences, and other stakeholders?
