Building the AI Trust Layer

Prior authorization AI processes millions of claims daily, but fragmented data makes accuracy unpredictable, no electronic appeal infrastructure exists for contested decisions, and providers lack visibility into how algorithms reach treatment conclusions. There is a real opportunity in building transparent frameworks that show stakeholders how data flows and decisions are reached. This means bringing payers, providers, tech vendors, and patients together to create accountability mechanisms balancing innovation with clinical accuracy and ethical oversight. Building this “trust layer,” a shared framework of governance, transparency, and accountability that enables responsible data collaboration can clear up questions around data ownership and who is ultimately benefitting. How do we build confidence that AI trained on shared information truly serves patients? Without this, we're just automating the dysfunction we already have
