PointClickCare, a Canadian health tech company is partnering with Pfizer to share its real-world insights on older adults to help make decisions on new therapies.
It covers the long-term and post-acute care market and can help Pfizer with insights that specifically represent older adults, especially those in long-term care facilities.
While this strategic collaboration focuses on elder care, PointClickCare also launched a telemedicine service earlier in October this year. The service called Virtual Health offers ‘skilled nursing facilities 24/7 access to hospitalists with the assistance of its partner Sound Physicians, a physician partner to hospitals, health plans, physician groups and post-acute providers.’
PointClickCare has been growing its portfolio of services with acquisitions like the coordinated-care platform Collective Medical, post-acute care management company QuickMar, analytics tool Co-Pilot and post-acute care-focused COMS Interactive. It also recently bought the health IT company Audacious Inquiry which offers care coordination services.
