Aptar Digital Health, a branch of AptarGroup, Inc., a leader in dosing and dispensing technologies, has inked a deal with Biogen Inc to oversee and advance digital health solutions for neurological and rare diseases. Biogen will transfer ownership of specific digital health solutions to Aptar Digital Health, which will manage product management, design, software development and maintenance, secure cloud hosting, and customer and marketing support.
Biogen has previously launched several flagship digital health solutions, and Aptar will now manage their operation in North America, Europe/UK, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America:
- Cleo™/Aby™: A digital care companion app for multiple sclerosis patients, offering disease information, symptom tracking, treatment reminders, and tailored self-care programs.
- Physio.me: A digital exercise companion providing personalized at-home exercises for patients with neuromuscular disorders.
Beyond these solutions, Biogen and Aptar will explore collaboration opportunities to potentially develop and introduce new digital health solutions for managing spinal muscular atrophy, Friedreich’s ataxia, and lupus in selected regions.
