Athelas and Resilient Healthcare Form Strategic Alliance to Advance Home-Based Care Technology

Athelas, a healthcare technology company backed by Commure, has established a strategic partnership with Resilient Healthcare to advance the delivery of home-based healthcare services. The collaboration positions Athelas as Resilient Healthcare's preferred vendor for electronic medical records (EMR) and revenue cycle management (RCM), marking a significant step in expanding access to advanced healthcare technology solutions.

The partnership will launch with a pilot program integrating Athelas' RCM services and ambient AI support with Resilient's AI platform, RAIN. This initial phase will involve several hospital clients, focusing on demonstrating how outpatient services and billing can be effectively managed outside traditional hospital systems while maintaining seamless data exchange and advancing home-based care delivery.

Tanay Tandon, CEO of Athelas, emphasized the partnership's potential impact: "Athelas is thrilled to partner with Resilient Healthcare to expand access to high-quality, innovative technology to provide the best patient care possible. Together, we empower healthcare providers with the tools they need to effectively deliver health-at-home care for improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency."

The collaboration aligns with both companies' commitment to advancing healthcare technology. Resilient Healthcare CEO Jackleen Samuel-Kloes highlighted the strategic importance: "At Resilient, our mission is to provide proactive, personalized healthcare that improves patient outcomes and enhances the efficiency of care delivery in the home. This partnership with Athelas allows us to leverage cutting-edge technology to support our patients better and empower our healthcare teams to deliver exceptional care."

This partnership builds on Athelas' significant market presence, following its 2023 merger with Commure that valued the combined entity at $6 billion. The company's growth trajectory includes notable achievements such as achieving unicorn status in 2022 with a $1.5 billion valuation, supported by investments from prominent firms including General Catalyst and Tribe Capital.

The alliance represents a continuation of strategic consolidation in the healthcare technology sector, following Commure's recent acquisitions of Memora Health and Augmedix, the latter a $139 million deal that brought ambient AI capabilities to the company's portfolio.
