Best Buy Health is expanding its partnership with Geisinger, a healthcare system in Pennsylvania, to enhance chronic disease management at home.
Geisinger had previously launched ConnectedCare365, a chronic care management platform, and enrolled patients in remote monitoring programs using devices like blood pressure cuffs and glucose meters. Data from these devices was transmitted through Best Buy's Current Health platform.
They later piloted a program using Best Buy's Geek Squad agents to deliver, install, and activate remote care devices, educating patients on usage and data transmission.
The expanded partnership aims to create a technology and services package for healthcare organisations seeking to run their own chronic condition management programs. The specific details are yet to be finalised, but the goal is to improve the experience of providing and receiving chronic care at home.
