BrainCheck Secures $13M to Scale Its AI-Powered Cognitive Care Platform

BrainCheck has raised $13 million in Series A funding to scale its AI-enabled cognitive assessment platform across U.S. healthcare systems. The round was led by Next Coast Ventures, with participation from S3 Ventures and UPMC Enterprises. The company plans to strengthen workflow integration, expand longitudinal patient monitoring capabilities, and increase adoption across primary care and specialty practices.

The funding also supports BrainCheck’s growing partnerships with collaborative care organizations, extending its role from standalone assessment to structured cognitive care delivery. As aging populations drive rising demand for dementia and mild cognitive impairment screening, many primary care providers lack the time and infrastructure for ongoing cognitive monitoring. With value-based care models placing greater accountability on early detection and longitudinal outcomes, standardized digital assessment tools are becoming operational necessities.

BrainCheck’s FDA-cleared product, BrainCheck Assess™, provides validated digital cognitive screening and tracking tools designed for repeatable measurement over time. The platform is used in primary care, neurology, and psychiatry settings to support evaluation of conditions including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. More than 500 healthcare organizations nationwide have adopted the system, and clinicians have completed over 640,000 cognitive assessments to date.

The company will use the new capital to deepen EHR integration, support population-scale deployment, and enhance AI-assisted features tailored for risk-bearing and accountable care models. Leadership emphasized that the goal is to reduce friction in cognitive assessment while maintaining clinician oversight, positioning BrainCheck as infrastructure for scalable, standardized cognitive care.
