Rendever, a virtual reality (VR) company dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults, has partnered with Lenovo to provide VR experiences to patients at Carolina Caring, a non-profit healthcare provider. This collaboration aims to improve seniors' quality of life by offering immersive VR experiences, even for those with limited physical mobility.
Rendever’s VR platform, combined with Lenovo’s ThinkReality VRX headset, provides an all-in-one solution tailored for senior living communities. The headset offers six degrees of freedom, full-color visuals, and high-resolution experiences, allowing seniors to virtually travel to distant locations, relive cherished memories, and explore the natural world. Over the past year, the companies have developed a seamless VR solution for senior care facilities, combining Rendever’s award-winning experiences with Lenovo’s user-friendly hardware.
Rendever’s VR platform is already used in over 700 senior living communities across the U.S. With the addition of Carolina Caring, even more seniors will have access to these enriching VR experiences. This partnership reflects a growing trend in senior care, where technology is used to enhance the well-being and quality of life for older adults. VR helps foster a sense of connection and engagement, regardless of physical limitations.
Kelly Tate, VP of Community Relations at Carolina Caring, noted the positive impact on patients, including reduced anxiety and improved interaction during VR sessions, highlighting the ease of integrating this technology into their care programs.
