Carrot Adds 24/7 Pediatric Telemedicine to Parenting Benefits Through Blueberry Partnership

Carrot Fertility has expanded its parenting benefits by integrating on-demand pediatric telemedicine through Blueberry Pediatrics, offering 24/7 virtual access to board-certified pediatricians for families with children under 12.

The new service is designed to ease the strain on working parents while delivering measurable cost savings for employers. Through Blueberry, Carrot members can schedule immediate virtual visits for common childhood illnesses and injuries, including ear infections, rashes, colds, and flu. Families also receive a home medical kit equipped with a wireless digital ear scope, pediatric pulse oximeter, and thermometer, enabling clinicians to assess and treat children remotely with greater clinical accuracy.

“Parents shouldn't have to choose between caring for their sick child and meeting work responsibilities,” said Tammy Sun, Founder and CEO of Carrot. “By integrating pediatric telemedicine into our parenting journey, we're helping families get the comprehensive care they need, while delivering meaningful cost savings and productivity gains for employers.”

The economic case is clear. Pediatric emergency department visits occur at nearly one per infant per year and cost more than $1,100 on average. Blueberry data suggests telemedicine can reduce unnecessary emergency visits by up to 40%, cutting avoidable healthcare spend while minimizing time away from work.

“Blueberry was built to give families access to high-quality pediatric care anytime they need it,” said Rich Berner, CEO of Blueberry Pediatrics. “Through this partnership with Carrot, we're making that support available to more working parents and helping reduce avoidable costs tied to pediatric emergency department visits and missed work. We're proud to partner with Carrot to help parents navigate the parenting journey with confidence and peace of mind, while helping employers build a more resilient, satisfied, and supported workforce.”

The addition builds on Carrot’s broader global platform spanning fertility, pregnancy, adoption, menopause, and hormonal health. By embedding real-time pediatric care into its parenting journey, Carrot is positioning itself not just as a fertility benefits provider, but as an end-to-end family health partner—linking preventive support, virtual clinical access, and cost control into a single employer-sponsored solution.
