Carrot, a global platform focused on fertility, family-building, and hormonal health, has significantly expanded its footprint across the U.S. by adding 4,200 new provider contracts. The move brings Carrot’s total network to more than 17,000 providers, now spanning all 50 states.
The expansion includes fertility clinics, specialists, and care providers that meet Carrot’s strict quality standards. According to Chief Medical Officer Asima Ahmad, the company takes a rigorous, data-driven approach to provider selection rather than simply partnering with every available clinic. Providers are evaluated based on key performance metrics like single embryo transfer rates, clinical pregnancy rates, live birth rates, miscarriage rates, and preterm birth rates. The goal, Ahmad says, is to ensure patients not only achieve successful pregnancies but also experience safer and healthier outcomes.
Carrot’s proprietary tool, CarrotMatch, plays a central role in this process. It uses more than 200 data points to score and rank providers on quality, cost, and outcomes, helping match members with the best-fit care based on their individual needs.
In addition to expanding its network, Carrot is rolling out new capabilities within its Carrot Card — a prepaid benefits card funded by employers and used to pay for fertility and hormonal health services. Previously used primarily for up-front fertility care payments, the Carrot Card now includes cost-sharing features such as coinsurance and copayments, offering members even more flexibility when managing their out-of-pocket costs.
The card can also be used in 50 different currencies with built-in currency conversion, making it useful for members seeking care abroad. According to the company, the ability to make payments directly at the point of care — without needing to pay up front and wait for reimbursement — is helping to create a more equitable and accessible experience for patients.
“Our goal is always to improve access to care,” said Ahmad. “By expanding the provider network and offering more payment options, we’re helping reduce the financial and logistical barriers that many people face when seeking fertility or hormonal health services.”
Carrot’s platform supports a wide range of services, including IVF, IUI, egg and sperm freezing, gestational surrogacy, adoption, pregnancy and postpartum care, menopause and low testosterone treatment, parenting support, and return-to-work guidance. The company aims to offer a comprehensive ecosystem that meets the evolving needs of individuals and families throughout all stages of reproductive and hormonal health.
With this latest expansion, Carrot continues to position itself as a leader in the growing field of employer-sponsored fertility and family-forming benefits, aiming to deliver personalized, high-quality care experiences to its members nationwide.
