Clover Health, a Tennessee-based insurtech provider, has teamed up with Quartet Health, a mental and behavioural health platform, to offer value-based behavioural healthcare to Clover members with severe mental illness through Clover Home Care. This partnership aims to provide seniors enrolled in Clover's Medicare Advantage plans with access to comprehensive care, including medication support, mental and physical care coordination, and community resources. Quartet's Whole Health program will enhance Clover's offerings by integrating in-person or virtual therapy, psychiatry services, and self-guided programs, matching patients with mental health professionals based on preferences, needs, and insurance coverage.
Quartet Clinicians will utilise the Clover Assistant platform, an AI tool that aggregates data to aid health providers in decision-making regarding chronic conditions, to support individuals with serious mental illness. Quartet Health's acquisition of InnovaTel Telepsychiatry in December 2021 bolstered its capacity and delivery capabilities, following a $60 million funding round and partnership announcement with Independence Health Group. Despite past legal challenges and stock performance fluctuations, including a settlement of lawsuits and an exit from the CMS ACO REACH program, Clover Health has demonstrated an upward trend in earnings since 2022 and remains focused on enhancing patient outcomes while reducing the cost of care.
