Cognetivity and UC Health partner to enhance cognitive impairment detection in the US

Cognetivity Neurosciences, an AI healthcare technology company, has partnered with UC Health, a leading U.S. healthcare system based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This collaboration aims to enhance early detection of cognitive impairment in clinical settings. UC Health will have access to Cognetivity's AI-powered CognICA cognitive assessment tool for evaluating patients' brain health at both primary and secondary care levels. The tool offers a fast, accurate, and repeatable means of assessing cognitive function in patients of various backgrounds and ages.

UC Health will use CognICA to screen patients at risk of cognitive impairment, including seniors and those with cancer and neurosurgery conditions. Patients identified as at risk will be referred to the UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute's Memory Disorders Center for further evaluation and diagnosis. This early detection and intervention can lead to more effective treatment.

The partnership benefits both Cognetivity and UC Health. It provides Cognetivity with access to a diverse patient population for validating CognICA's performance and offers an entry into the U.S. market. For UC Health, it introduces a new tool to enhance the quality of care for patients at risk of cognitive impairment, potentially leading to better patient outcomes and cost savings.

Additionally, this collaboration could set a precedent for other healthcare systems in the U.S. and worldwide to adopt wide-scale cognitive screening programs using CognICA. This could significantly improve the early detection of cognitive impairment, positively impacting the lives of many individuals and providing access to the latest drugs for treating conditions like Alzheimer's.
