Corti has introduced an AI assistant designed to enhance provider-patient interactions through real-time support. Unlike traditional AI scribes, this tool goes beyond note-taking by actively engaging with providers during and after consultations.
The Corti Assistant records conversations, generates ICD-10 billing codes, checks medical guidelines, and adapts to provider preferences. It also conducts quality assurance and offers decision-making assistance through contextual chat capabilities. According to a YouGov survey of 500 healthcare providers, 81% of respondents found real-time AI feedback valuable, compared to 71% for medical imaging and 68% for ambient scribing.
By integrating directly into electronic health records (EHR), Corti’s AI delivers relevant information based on ongoing conversations. For example, it can retrieve medical research or provide real-time translation services to bridge language gaps between providers and patients.
“You can text-chat with an AI that has listened to your conversations, ensuring nothing is overlooked,” said Andreas Cleve, Corti’s co-founder and CEO.
The tool also supports clinicians beyond visits by helping resolve uncertainties. “Healthcare isn’t just about brief encounters; it’s the cases doctors carry home,” said Frederik Brabant, M.D., Corti’s chief medical strategy officer.
Launched in 2016, Corti has focused on using large language models to reduce administrative burdens. In a recent study with ACME-CORP, its model outperformed GPT-4 in accuracy and provider preference alignment.
Corti plans to partner with EHR providers, integrating its AI through APIs for seamless adoption. Its recent U.S. expansion includes partnerships with Northland & Companies, Voice Products Inc., and RelyMD, boosting revenue and growing its team by 64%.
