COTA launches EHR dataset for advancing AI in cancer care

COTA, an oncology data and analytics company, has launched Vista, a substantial automated Electronic Health Records (EHR) dataset aimed at advancing cancer research and the use of reliable generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in cancer care. 

Vista utilises automated data abstraction methods, machine learning algorithms, and medical expert supervision to extract clinically relevant information from EHRs on a large scale. This dataset addresses the challenge of unreliable data, a major obstacle in harnessing generative AI for cancer therapy. 

COTA ensures data accuracy by sourcing information directly from electronic medical records and overseeing it programmatically through oncologists. The objective is to provide valuable insights into the comprehensive cancer patient journey, facilitating retrospective analyses and aiding in patient matching for clinical trials. 

This initiative seeks to accelerate the development of life-saving cancer therapies and enhance treatment options through trusted AI tools in oncology.
