Health-tech platform, Florence has raised $20 million with the aim of increasing clinical capacity in emergency rooms and utilising technology to improve patient experience.
Using Florence’s mobile app, information can be gathered from patients on their way to the ER, including, insurance, registration, payment, medical history and symptoms, and consent. Healthcare professionals can then use patient data to improve the time for initial assessment and diagnosis, and provide patients with real time updates and instructions. The platform can also handle patient discharge, further treatment and follow-up plans.
Lack of optimisation in clinical workflows is one of the major challenges facing the healthcare industry. Integrating Florence’s technology into the clinical workflow, can serve to increase clinical capacity in emergency rooms, which can lead to increased revenues, reduce staff work burden, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
