Flywheel, Microsoft, and NVIDIA collaborate on AI platform for Microsoft Azure

Flywheel, a leading medical imaging artificial intelligence (AI) development platform, has unveiled its software-as-a-service (SaaS) data management solution on Microsoft Azure. 

Integrated with NVIDIA MONAI and Azure Machine Learning Studio, the platform aims to accelerate advancements in medical imaging research and AI model development. It provides a secure, scalable, and user-friendly SaaS solution for curating high-quality, standardised datasets, supporting research in pharmaceutical and life sciences companies, research institutions, and healthcare providers. 

The collaboration aims to overcome barriers in healthcare breakthroughs related to medical imaging data, facilitating the extraction of valuable insights for personalised care, clinical research, and real-world evidence.

Flywheel's agreement with Microsoft enables the SaaS solution to be available on the Azure Marketplace. The integration with Azure Machine Learning MLOps capabilities and NVIDIA MONAI streamlines clinical AI collaboration at an enterprise scale. 

Users can accelerate model development, improve data preparation efficiency, ensure AI model reproducibility, and enhance collaboration between medical researchers and data scientists. The platform also integrates with mPower Clinical Analytics by Nuance, a Microsoft company, allowing users to seamlessly enhance patient cohort discovery and enrich images with refined data from radiology reports. 

The collaboration aims to empower researchers, clinicians, and scientists globally, fostering healthcare innovation and improving outcomes.
