Frederick Health Integrates Precision Oncology Platform with MEDITECH Expanse

Frederick Health has launched a groundbreaking precision medicine integration, enhancing decision support with tailored recommendations for cancer treatment. By integrating MEDITECH’s Expanse Genomics solution with GenomOncology’s Precision Oncology Platform, clinicians now have seamless access to comprehensive precision medicine data within the Expanse EHR, including Expanse Oncology. This advancement empowers oncologists, genetic counselors, and clinical trial teams with real-time genetic insights, enabling personalized therapy and clinical trial recommendations based on mutational pathways, patient demographics, and genetic history.

Since implementation, 96 patients have received treatment modifications based on genetic recommendations, and clinical trial referrals have surged from just two in the previous six months to 56. Clinician satisfaction has also improved, with a 36% increase in confidence in therapy and trial selection and a 33% improvement in workflow integration.
