Glytec, the only provider of cloud-based insulin management software across the continuum of care has announced the next evolution of GlucoMetrics, providing new analytics, dashboards, and data visualisations giving hospitals and health systems new insights into glycemic outcomes. The enhanced insights will support hospitals to prepare for the new measures by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on severe hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia encouraging facilities to begin reporting metrics in early 2024.
With the significant enhancements to GlucoMetrics, glycemic management committees and hospital leaders now have self-serve access to key performance indicators, trends and benchmarks across their health system. GlucoMetrics is pre-configured with six interactive dashboards including, GlucoMetrics Overview, Treated Vs Untreated, Blood Glucose Measurement Timeliness, Patient Stays, Patient Days, and Blood Glucose Values. The platform provides filters to segment data by time frame, facility, unit, treatment type, among others, to provide details across the health system and at an individual patient level.
Insights delivered by GlucoMetrics will give hospitals and health systems the information necessary to begin internal benchmarking, as well as clinical indications of underperforming areas to enable improved patient care.
“Most hospitals have no way of easily looking across their facility to understand how effectively they’re managing patient blood sugars, and being able to look across an entire health system is even more rare. These enhancements to GlucoMetrics take a significant step towards providing the insight hospitals need to start asking – and answering – important questions.” said Jordan Messler, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Glytec.
