Google has announced a series of updates to its digital health ecosystem, including a multiyear partnership with women's health company Flo Health, expanded health-monitoring capabilities, and new integrations across its Google Health platform.
The partnership with Flo Health will enable users to combine menstrual cycle information with wearable metrics, including resting heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, and sleep patterns. Google Health Premium subscribers will also be able to integrate Flo data into the Gemini-powered Google Health Coach.
Beginning in early 2027, the integration will support personalised health insights across reproductive life stages, including menstruation, pregnancy, and perimenopause. The companies also intend to collaborate on research covering pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS).
The partnership includes plans to develop products combining Flo's reproductive health expertise with Google's algorithms and wearable sensors.
"Alongside the partnership, Google Health has made a strategic investment in Flo," Flo Health said in a statement. "This is a recognition of the vital importance of women's health and the need to bring dedicated experiences and tools to life that can better support them."
Separately, Google is expanding its Health Guardian monitoring suite to Fitbit Air and the newly introduced Fitbit Edge. The update includes an insulin-resistance trends feature that analyses physiological signals, including heart rate, movement, skin temperature, and electrodermal activity.
The feature estimates changes in insulin resistance rather than directly measuring glucose levels. Users may receive monthly notifications when consistent increases are detected, alongside recommendations to review lifestyle habits or consider continuous glucose monitoring.
Google is also extending its health data integrations. Through its existing collaboration with Abbott, U.S. users will be able to connect Lingo continuous glucose monitors to examine glucose trends alongside nutrition, exercise, and sleep data.
Additional integrations will enable users to import laboratory results from Function and detailed nutrition logs from MyFitnessPal Premium.
Google is also expanding automatic activity recognition to more than 100 activities across Fitbit Air, Fitbit Edge, and Pixel Watch models 3, 4, and 5.
