Health tracking ring company Oura partners with teletherapy platform Talkspace

Finland-based Oura, the creator of the renowned health tracking ring bearing its name, has unveiled a collaboration with Talkspace, a teletherapy enterprise. This collaboration empowers wearers of the Oura ring to share their personalised sleep and daily movement data with therapists from Talkspace.

Oura ring users can leverage the Share Report functionality offered by the company to transmit details regarding their sleep quality and movement trends over spans of one week, a month, or 90 days.

Dorothy Kilroy, the Chief Commercial Officer at Oura, highlighted the significance of the Share Report, stating that it furnishes valuable insights into a user's sleep patterns, readiness, and activity across a specific time frame. These metrics are integral components in the intricate mosaic of overall well-being. Kilroy expressed that the partnership with Talkspace is a conduit for aiding healthcare providers in comprehending the reciprocal influence of sleep on mental health and vice versa. This understanding equips providers to enhance the care they deliver while empowering users to engage in informed conversations with their healthcare professionals.

To partake in the report sharing and avail the services that have arisen from this collaboration, individuals wearing the Oura ring must also be active members of Talkspace.

Katelyn Watson, the Chief Marketing Officer at Talkspace, shared that therapy, according to feedback from their members, plays a pivotal role in navigating various facets of life. The collaboration with Oura introduces a novel approach for members to holistically assess their mental and physical well-being. This broader perspective can enrich ongoing dialogues with therapists and expand the toolkit for enhancing overall life quality.
