Klineo raises €2M to connect patients to clinical trials

French digital health startup Klineo announced a successful €2 million funding round for its platform aimed at enhancing access to clinical trials for cancer patients. Leveraging AI technology, Klineo's platform directly links doctors and patients with relevant trials. With this funding, Klineo plans to expand its solution to encompass all cancer types, addressing the growing number of patients and trials.

Despite the potential benefits of clinical trials, only a minority of cancer patients currently participate, with up to 20% of trials failing due to insufficient enrollment. Klineo's platform seeks to bridge this gap, maximising the impact of research investments.

The funding, provided by BPI and business angels, will enable Klineo to extend its coverage to all cancers in France by 2024, with plans for further expansion into lung cancer and other countries and pathologies. Additionally, the funds will support team growth and platform enhancement. Klineo has already undertaken successful initiatives, including a pilot project at the Gustave Roussy Institute and the launch of a national platform for triple-negative breast cancer in collaboration with the Collectif Triplettes Roses.
