Kyndryl Announces Collaboration with Microsoft to Enable AI-powered Healthcare

Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, has partnered with Microsoft to support the adoption and deployment of the AI-powered Microsoft Dragon Copilot healthcare assistant. Using voice dictation, ambient listening, and generative AI, Dragon Copilot will automate clinical documentation, improve administrative efficiency, and allow clinicians to focus more on patient care.

Kyndryl will help customers integrate Dragon Copilot by providing services that enhance clinician efficiency, optimize workflows, and improve patient experiences. The AI assistant will automate documentation, surface relevant information, and streamline administrative tasks, reducing clinician workload. By enabling ambient listening, it will assist with summarizing notes, drafting after-visit summaries, and preparing orders, ensuring clinicians spend more time with patients. As part of Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare, it prioritizes security and patient data privacy.

"This marks a major milestone in Kyndryl’s commitment to optimizing clinical workflows and enhancing patient care through AI," said Trent Sanders, VP for U.S. Healthcare and Life Sciences at Kyndryl. "As a Microsoft launch partner, we aim to reduce clinician burnout and improve the healthcare experience by automating routine tasks and unlocking valuable insights."

Patty Carrolo, CVP Microsoft US Health and Life Sciences, highlighted Kyndryl’s expertise, stating, "With its deep experience in healthcare IT services, Kyndryl will help deliver AI-powered solutions that improve patient experiences and optimize healthcare operations."

Kyndryl will offer Dragon Copilot as part of its healthcare services portfolio starting in May 2025, providing expert support to help healthcare organizations seamlessly integrate the solution into their workflows.
