Laguna Health raises $15 Million to advance AI-driven contextual care management platform

Laguna Health, founded by Yoni Shtein and Yael Adam, uses AI to enhance contextual care management.

Every year, millions of Americans are hospitalised, and a large percentage of them are discharged to continue their recovery at home. However, the support they receive is often limited to paper instructions and minimal clinical oversight.

Laguna Health's AI engine integrates medical care plans with social, emotional, and cultural factors to offer better support to care managers in assisting patients throughout their recovery and ongoing care.

For example, if a mother with a family and career is recovering, Laguna's NLP technology can identify her anxiety about recovery and the competing demands in her life. The platform then provides personalised content through the app and virtual support from a care manager.

Patient medical records rarely take into account their personal circumstances, the context of their caregivers, or the emotional factors that may affect their recovery.

Laguna Health has partnered with SemperVirens and HC9 Ventures to drive the growth of their company. With their leadership, experience, and relationships, Laguna Health aims to accelerate adoption by employers and health plans, ultimately making a positive impact on the lives of millions of members.
