Lilly partners with Amazon Pharmacy to deliver GLP-1 medications directly to patients

Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly) and Amazon Pharmacy have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing patient access to GLP-1 medications for conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and migraines.

The collaboration seeks to address the pressing need for improved access to treatments for millions of Americans grappling with these chronic conditions. With nearly one in three adults having prediabetes and 40 million diagnosed with diabetes, coupled with over 40% of U.S. adults being considered obese, the demand for effective treatments is evident.

Through the platform LillyDirect, which connects patients with healthcare providers and pharmacies, select Lilly medications can now be conveniently delivered to patients' doorsteps via Amazon Pharmacy. This partnership offers various advantages, including fast and free two-day delivery for Prime members, round-the-clock support from Amazon Pharmacy's team of clinical pharmacists, and tools to enhance medication adherence.

Physicians have the flexibility to send prescriptions either to LillyDirect Pharmacy Solutions or directly to Amazon Pharmacy. Patients interested in exploring the available Lilly medications can visit the LillyDirect website, while those seeking more information about Amazon Pharmacy and its medication offerings can visit their dedicated webpage.
