Lucem Health Secures $7.7M for Agnostic AI-Powered Platform

Lucem Health, a provider of clinical artificial intelligence (AI) technology and solutions has raised $7.7M in Series A funding. The funding round was led by the Mayo Clinic, Granger Management, and Mercy.

The Lucem Health Platform can take data from any source and normalise and connect it to any AI model or algorithm and deliver the resulting predictive insights into existing clinical workflows. The Lucem platform makes it easier for hospitals, clinics, and  physicians to build, train and scale AI models utilising their own data, by embedding them into PACs, EHRs and other data-driven workflows. Ultimately, these solutions can be used to detect disease earlier and optimise care delivery to improve patient, provider, and physician experience, and improve healthcare outcomes.

The company intends to use the funds to advance development of the platform, grow the company's solution portfolio and expand sales and marketing capacity.

“AI has tremendous potential to transform and augment how physicians and providers practice medicine, make decisions and serve their patients. Yet, so far, we have barely scratched the surface of AI’s potential in healthcare,” said Sean Cassidy, founding CEO of Lucem Health. “We started Lucem Health to accelerate integration of powerful AI-generated insights into care delivery workflows in a thoughtful, responsible way. In a challenging market for raising capital, we appreciate our investors’ confidence and support.”
