Midi Health expands women's care access in all 50 states

Midi Health, a virtual healthcare clinic catering to women aged 40 and older, has unveiled its plans to expand its services to employers across all 50 states commencing in January 2024.

This development follows the recent closure of a successful $25 million Series A funding round, led by GV (Google Ventures), resulting in the company's total funding reaching $40 million.

Additionally, in the same month, Midi Health also publicised a strategic partnership with the Memorial Hermann Health System based in Houston. This collaboration aims to broaden access to healthcare for perimenopausal and menopausal women.

Midi Health specialises in telehealth services, where a network of nurse practitioners, under the oversight of physicians and researchers, offer comprehensive care, all of which is covered by insurance. Notably, Midi Health directly bills insurers for visits, alleviating any extra financial burden on employers. The company further extends its services to include various interventions, ranging from lifestyle coaching to prescription medications.

In the context of a broader trend, it is worth mentioning that in 2022, Midi Health secured $14 million in seed funding. At the time, the company's healthcare services were available in California, and the funds were earmarked for nationwide expansion and forging strategic partnerships.

Earlier this year, Midi Health, a women's healthcare specialist, announced an alliance with Lifepoint Health, a nationwide healthcare delivery network, with the shared objective of enhancing healthcare accessibility for women as they age.

In August, Progyny, a benefits management firm, unveiled its plans to enable its employer clients across all 50 states to offer comprehensive perimenopause and menopause care to their employees, facilitated through partnerships with Midi Health and the digital menopause care delivery platform, Gennev.

In addition to Midi Health, several other companies are actively providing virtual care services tailored to menopausal women. These include telehealth startup Evernow and the virtual menopause care company Upliv.
