Notable, an intelligent automation company for healthcare has launched Patient AI, a solution using large language models (LLM) and GPT for healthcare personalisation.
Patient AI continuously scans millions of data points across medical records and third-party data sets to develop a clinical and social understanding of each patient. Insights are then automatically translated into personalised recommendations, which are surfaced to the patient before, after, and in-between encounters without any staff involvement. Therefore, patients are engaged at the correct moment to take action to achieve their health goals. For example, a discharged patient could be matched with home care nurses, medical equipment providers, or a series of periodic questionnaires to assess patient-reported outcomes (PROs). This level of personalisation would previously have required teams of professionals and multiple hours of work.
Furthermore, using GPT to scan existing clinical documentation, Patient AI can detect missed diagnoses and comorbidities to improve a patient’s care and risk accuracy. It is also able to identify lapsed insurance cards, incorrect addresses, eligible clinical trials, or costly care gaps in real-time across an entire patient population.
