PatientsLikeMe (PLM), a health engagement platform, has launched Ella, an AI assistant powered by the generative AI platform Ema, designed to help women manage their health. PLM’s platform connects users to a community for sharing experiences, as well as tools and education for health management.

Ella offers personalized, evidence-based guidance tailored to individual health histories and cultural backgrounds, making medical information accessible and easy to understand. It also supports healthcare organizations by enhancing patient engagement, optimizing resource use, and providing actionable data insights.

PLM COO Chris Renfro highlighted Ella’s ability to streamline access to health insights, while Amanda Ducach, CEO of Ema, emphasized its role in empowering patients as active members of their care teams.
