PicnicHealth announces continued partnership with Roche and Genentech

Patient-centred health technology company, PicnicHealth has announced its intent to globally expand existing partnership with Roche and Genentech to accelerate neurological disease research through investments in real-world data.

Health tech company PicnicHealth, partners directly with patients to build real-world datasets. The company is actively helping to address healthcare disparity through building diverse cohorts, inclusive of a wide range of ethnic and racial minorities affected by neurological diseases.

The partnership launched in 2018, with an initial multi-year focus on Multiple Sclerosis (MS), with a custom cohort of 5000 MS patients, and has expanded to include investments in Huntington’s Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, and Alzheimer’s related dementias, and  myasthenia gravis (MG). Roche continues to use this dataset to highlight shared challenges and unmet needs faced by patients with neurological disease, aiming to improve patient care and outcomes.

PicnicHealth’s newest real-world datasets include patient and observer-reported outcomes, as well as electronic health record data, following retrospective and prospective journeys of patients with Alzheimer's Disease, and Alzheimer’s related dementias, and MG, forming some of the most complete datasets to date.

“We're delighted to continue our long-term partnership with Roche and Genentech as we leverage our expertise in working with patients to develop data while enabling researchers to better understand disease progression and staging and the holistic impact a neurological disease has on a patient and his of her care team,” said Dan Drozd, MD, Chief Medical Officer at PicnicHealth.
