Talkspace Boosts AI Innovation, Inks Novo Nordisk Partnership

Talkspace reported another strong quarter, posting 25% year-over-year revenue growth to $59.4 million and a 73% jump in net income to $3.3 million, fueled largely by its expanding payer business. While payer, or insurance-covered, revenue rose 42% to $45 million, the company’s direct-to-consumer business continued to decline, down 23% year-over-year. Adjusted EBITDA reached $5 million, more than doubling from the same period last year.

A key highlight for the quarter was Talkspace’s new partnership with Novo Nordisk to support its WeGoTogether app, which helps patients using the weight-loss drug Wegovy manage their health journeys. Through its recently acquired Wisdo social health platform, Talkspace will offer group coaching and emotional support within the app. The feature aims to help users build sustainable habits, stay motivated, and connect with others navigating similar experiences. CEO Jon Cohen described the partnership as an early validation of Wisdo’s strategy and said it addresses a clear need among GLP-1 medication users for structured, community-based guidance.

Cohen added that Talkspace is exploring additional opportunities in the pharmaceutical space, positioning itself as a partner to drugmakers seeking behavioral and emotional support tools for patients managing chronic or lifestyle-related conditions. “We need to get this one right the first time around,” Cohen said, emphasizing that the Novo Nordisk collaboration could pave the way for similar partnerships in the future.

At the same time, Talkspace continues to invest heavily in artificial intelligence to enhance patient care and provider efficiency. The company’s proprietary behavioral health AI model, trained on years of anonymized therapy transcripts, is designed to assist with documentation, risk detection, and personalized engagement. Cohen said the goal is to set a new standard for clinically safe, AI-assisted therapy—an area where general-purpose chatbots fall short due to the lack of oversight and HIPAA protections.

Looking ahead, Talkspace expects full-year 2025 revenue between $226 million and $230 million, representing growth of up to 23%. With its payer base expanding, new pharma collaborations like Novo Nordisk’s, and advancing AI capabilities, the company is positioning itself at the intersection of technology, mental health, and patient support.
