Teladoc Health Launches Wellbound Employee Assistance Program to Transform Workplace Mental Health

Teladoc Health announced the launch of Wellbound, a new employee assistance program that aims to revolutionize how organizations support employee mental health and well-being. The program addresses a critical gap in the current EAP landscape, where despite 89% of large employers offering such benefits, many struggle to deliver meaningful value due to fragmented experiences and limited continuity of care.

Wellbound leverages Teladoc Health's extensive clinical portfolio and consumer engagement expertise to create what the company describes as a powerful "on-ramp" for long-term employee wellness. The program is purpose-built for the company's employer and health plan clients in the United States, offering a comprehensive suite of mental health and work-life support services through a unified platform.

The core of Wellbound's mental health offering includes online therapy for individuals, teens, and couples provided by BetterHelp, the world's largest online therapy platform. The program extends beyond traditional EAP limitations by incorporating psychiatry services, medication management, and evidence-based self-guided resources directly from Teladoc Health. This integrated approach ensures employees receive continuous support rather than being left to navigate care transitions independently.

The program's design emphasizes seamless connectivity to other Teladoc Health services, including 24/7 care, primary care, preventive care, and chronic condition management programs.

The program is currently available to plan sponsors, with employee access beginning in January 2026.
